About

Hello! This is a bit long.

Majority of my friends call me Trish, I guess you could call me the same. I'm a transcriptions editor with a really messed up body clock and never ending affinity for films, food, and written words. I like sweets, neutrals and monochromes, street art, window seats, golf carts and traveling with my friends. Some of the things that sometimes completely preoccupy me is my fixation with the now defunct The Civil Wars and their beautiful art of sadness, CSS and HTML (I could do it all day long), and those damn hypnotizing Tasty videos. Top country in my travel bucketlist? Iceland.

Blogging and leftoverjinx

You could say I grew up with the Internet. I have stacks of journals (yes, the actual notebooks) since I started writing about my life around 1995, and when I found my self spending more time online, all my scribbling crossed over to the world wide web. I've been through a couple of blogging platforms through the years (had my own Geocities site, Diaryland, LiveJournal, Tabulas, Xanga, Multiply, Tumblr; you name it, yes, I've been through it all, and no I'm not linking any of my old accounts. Haha. Well, because they're all already deleted!) before settling here at Blogger (been here for 5 years now!)

leftoverjinx started out as a personal space -- oversharing stuff like spurts of rants, long entries about heartaches, random daily updates, then I began blogging more about my new food discoveries, places I've been to, films, music, basically, my life and my adventures and everything in between. I have this thing with documenting my life because honestly, I really would not like to forget. I think it's one of the few things I'll never stop doing. Ever.

Occasionally, I would mention names like Quiza, Cy, Burn, Muffet, Ian, Honey, Charm, Farn, Terr, Jom, Fritzie, etc. and you may go "Terr who?" Those are a handful of my awesome friends I usually spend time with.

In summary, those are the things that you'll read about here, which, I hope in one way or another would help you or inspire you. :)

I hope everything I said sufficed your curiosity that made you click this page but here's some more useless information about me (as told by films and TV shows lol):

  1. I have read quite a number of blogs about La Union, your's stood out. Not because of writing skills or what kind of activity made your post meaty. I just felt it. I felt that you enjoyed it a lot. And i'm hoping I get to feel the same vibe when I go to La Union this week, when I go there solo. Thanks for a great blog post! =)

    1. Hi, Dom! Thanks for the very kind words. And yes, I absolutely had a wonderful time with friends in La Union back then. That's why I was so inspired to write about the experience. But I think I still didn't do it justice. Hope you enjoyed La Union as much as I did! :)
