Having lived in the vicinity for more than a year now, I sometimes pass by 7Flavors and make a mental note of visiting in the future. But of course, me being me, that never really happened. The mental note gets buried and forgotten only to be remembered when I see the place once again by chance. Haha. Fortunately for me, earlier this month, I've gotten an invite to dine at this buffet restaurant!

It was a pleasant surprise when I found out that 7Flavors was owned by famous chef and Kusina Master, Chef Boy Logro! Now I'm even more excited to try their food!

The restaurant's facade was beautiful! It looked way better than most exteriors of some hotels in the metro. It exuded that elegant and luxurious but relaxed feel. There's a ton of places to eat here at San Juan but some offer no parking space! It's nice that having a safe spot to put your car on is one less thing to worry about when dining here.

The restaurant is situated in a 2-floor building. The a la carte area and bakery is on the first floor and the buffet area is on the second. We paid them a visit on a Tuesday, during lunch time. I guess everyone's opted for the buffet, no?

I loved the combination of the high ceiling, big drapes and the lights. The different colors of the chairs add a pop of color to the white-walled surrounding.
This nook rounded everything and gave it a homey vibe. Looks like a cute little cafe.
The name '7Flavors' is representative of the distinct tastes you will experience while dining here: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, spicy, umami and astringent. Not to confuse with the stuff you put on your face, the astringent taste is actually the flavor that leaves the mouth rough or dry. Kinda like that vinegar, puckering taste with a dry sensation. They offer a variety of dishes (Asian fusion) but still within a reasonable price.

The buffet area is very spacious and can accommodate big groups, around 150 people. There are also private areas that you can reserve if, for example, you're coming with your family and/or friends for celebrations. No extra added cost on renting the floor for an event, you still have to pay the same price per head! They also rotate their dishes every two weeks so that their patrons can come back to something different every time.

And I thought that since it was lunch time, the second floor would be packed with customers. Surprisingly, it was not as crowded as I had imagined it would be.

In love with those light fixtures! Ang gaganda!

The food:

The salads.

Here are the dishes I enjoyed the most:

Fish fillet. I'm a really simple girl that loves her fried stuff. Fish is one of the things I miss eating the most! So when I saw this, I was so excited! Haha.
PORCHETTAAA!!! I love, love, love pork and this was my instant favorite! The meat was really flavorful and tender!  (。♥‿♥。)
Their DIY tacos! Their taco shells are made from scratch and you can build it how ever you want! This was one of their menu's highlights. It was actually pretty good.
The desserts:

Overall, you get your money's worth at 7Flavors. Actually, I was ready to have my tummy filled with sushi! Sadly, I didn't do my research enough as they only serve sushi on weekends! o(╥﹏╥)o Maybe I should come back during dinner time just to see how much more extensive the viands that will be served. I mean, there's this hype around Chef Boy Logro and I felt that it didn't translate fully into the dishes they offer. I was expecting a little more wow factor. But for the price, it's actually already a steal!

(Thank you to Mr. Albert Borja for having me! ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿)
