    Patricia

Majority of my friends call me Trish, I guess you could call me that too. I'm a transcriptions editor with a really messed up body clock and never ending affinity for films, food and written words. I like street art, sweets, neutrals and monochromes, sushi, window seats, golf carts and lazy weekends.

Some of the things that completely preoccupy me are my fixation with the now defunct The Civil Wars and their beautiful art of sadness, Oh Sehun, sleeping, CSS and HTML, @iameden, and those damn hypnotizing Tasty videos. Top country in my travel bucketlist? Iceland. But the one that will always have my heart? Hong Kong.

Our January "rare impromptu Saturday lunch" place pick was Pins and Bricks Pizza Bistro in Ortigas. I was with a couple of my friends from work: Jom, Terr, Farn, and her husband, Arvie. (Fifth wheelin' like a pro!) Filed under 'rare' and 'impromptu' because Farn doesn't usually join us for eat outs after our shift (totally understandable #motherduties) so her initiating this out of the blue is kind of a big deal. Hahaha. Of course, we looked them up before settling for it to be our final choice. The factors considered: a) near our office, b) they had board and card games and c) this.

If you're not from around the area, you'd easily miss Pins & Bricks. I've been working in Ortigas for almost 4 years now and I didn't even know Pearl Drive that much. You could navigate your way going there using Waze though.

    Internal weather forecast:
    Same shit, different day.

I missed my internal monologues here. I remember way back, around 2004, I would write about how my day went, how pissed off I am with a friend, how I was stuck in 4-hour long traffic, and how I broke up with my now ex-boyfriend for the nth time. It's been almost a month since I posted something, and I have this itch again to redesign this thing. It's not that I have nothing to write -- believe me, I have this constant stream of thoughts that wants to get out, but it's just continuously floating inside my head right now -- lulls and waves, lulls and waves, lulls and waves. I wish I could somehow string my thoughts together and say what I really want to say.

My life recently consisted of going home to Cavite because it's been 9 days since we had an Internet connection (I'm looking at you PLDT Ultera) and I'm following it up everyday; numerous hours at work, strategically taking our breaks, so as not to spend more hours for overtime; 2-hour travel time to and from Ortigas; reruns of Grey's Anatomy's first and second seasons; and slumber for 5 hours tops (or 4 when I get to visit my goddaughter next door).

I am in no way complaining, I am not burned out, I am contented with how things are but I just want to write. It's like my mind is asleep. I need inspiration to rub off of on me.
