    Patricia

Majority of my friends call me Trish, I guess you could call me that too. I'm a transcriptions editor with a really messed up body clock and never ending affinity for films, food and written words. I like street art, sweets, neutrals and monochromes, sushi, window seats, golf carts and lazy weekends.

Some of the things that completely preoccupy me are my fixation with the now defunct The Civil Wars and their beautiful art of sadness, Oh Sehun, sleeping, CSS and HTML, @iameden, and those damn hypnotizing Tasty videos. Top country in my travel bucketlist? Iceland. But the one that will always have my heart? Hong Kong.

There's something about this week that made it seem longer than usual. I guess it's because I know this will be my last week at work and I'm just dying for it to end. I dragged my feet to work the past few days (didn't help that there was a typhoon) and even had committed a boo-boo last night. Hahaha. I'll just have to deal with it next month! (Next month, it just feels so good saying that! LOL.) Despite all of those things, of course, here are a couple of reasons why this week was wicked:

    1. <fangirling> I had my signed Taking Back Sunday Live in Manila poster framed and we were able to get it earlier this week! This vacation, I'm planning to do some decorating in my room here at home in Cavite since it's just bare -- white walls, black floor, cabinets and my bed. </fangirling>

Different cafes and hole-in-the-wall restos continue to sprout in Cavite lately, and I, together with my food trip partners in crime, Cy and Pabs, made it our mission to try out all these much talked about places! Last July, we were finally able to dine at Sebo Pacific, and this time, we had an impromptu afternoon at Beantage Cafe. We rarely have our schedules aligned, so when we do, we definitely make it worthwhile!

I kept seeing this Ferrero ice blended drink from fellow blogger, Claire's Facebook page, that made me very curious, and was surprised that the cafe she was frequenting was just in Imus! Luckily for us, an even closer branch of Beantage Cafe (Molino) opened some time this year, so we opted to visit that instead.

One. Have you seen Game of Throne's Season 6 teaser video? I was honestly quite bummed about it because they didn't actually do a lot of teasing. The showed a bunch of the most depressing scenes in the last 5 seasons. There was also a released official poster with Jon Snow in it but IDK, D&D have broken so many hearts before so I don't really know what to expect. But it did lead me to think about the appearance (finally?) of Lady Stone Heart since they showed the clip of Catelyn Stark's throat being slit. Then there's that scene when Bran says, "They have no idea what's going to happen." shortly following the scene where Jon was bleeding out. Yes, Bran, we're really clueless here! Anyway, totally not the point of this post as I'm going to share this cool video I found of the first and last shots (meaning first introduction and deaths) of GoT characters.

I spent the last weekend of November with Muffet, Burn and Bell at Zambales to celebrate Muffet's birthday. We were really looking forward to it because it's been quite a while since we hit the beach -- actually, it's been a while since we went out of town. You know that laid back feeling on a weekend where you just wander along the shore line and enjoy the breeze? Totally miss that. It was a decision between La Union, Zambales and the south favorite, Batangas. But in the end, obviously, Zambales was our pick.

It was one of the best R&Rs I've had in a long while -- no scheduled group activities, just surrounded by friends, the sea, the stars and all the wonderful and funny conversations we had was the sort of pause button I needed in these fast-paced times. Here's a few random photos from the trip (I bought a new camera which I should be familiarizing myself with but I just wanted to enjoy the moment, so I was so lazy taking shots. Next time, I promise!) that I hope you'd enjoy:

We had reservations at Rama International Beach Resort which is located at Binoclutan, Botolan in Zambales. It's a good 15 to 20 minutes from San Felipe, where the likes of Crystal Beach is located. We just had a quick super late lunch (we arrived around 4:00 PM) at the resort's restaurant then watched this beautiful sunset.
