Weekend Movies

Some weekends I just want to lay in bed and watch the movies that I've downloaded and is taking me forever to have the time to watch. Last weekend was definitely that kind of weekend. I have the craziest sleeping habits so imagine waking at 2 AM with nothing to do. So yes, I watch films. On those particular days, I had a bit too much time on my hands so... yep, movies.

I've included their IMDB links so you can read the storyline (and a little feedback from me if it helps) and decide if it's your cup of tea, and also a link where you can obtain a copy. Hehehe. Enjoy!

1. In Your Eyes. Something by Joss Whedon. So you should have an idea. If you read the synopsis, the story seems plain and borderline silly but it's still intimate and sweet. (Torrent link -- don't be shy, Joss Whedon already released this on Vimeo. LOL.)

2. Mr. Nobody. Very abstract, visually compelling, a lot of jumping back and forth. But I got to say it will make you think about the life you live. (Torrent link)

3. All The Real Girls. Was very curious about this movie. I decided to download it because it's by David Gordon Green, who also directed Undertow (which is a favorite). Both these movies has these kind of lull moments in it but it's not actually boring. I ended up loving the story of All The Real Girls as well (still deciding if Zooey Deschanel can really act though). It was honest, beautiful and gritty at the same time. (Torrent link)

5. Perfect Blue. A psychological thriller by Satoshi Kon! If you like Paprika, Ghost in the Shell or Evangelion, you'll like this movie. (Torrent link)

6. Paper Heart. A sort of documentary about people's different views about love. It's real and charming, and I liked Charlene Yi's awkwardness here. This led me to believe that Michael Cera must love that hoodie jacket so much, he bought it in different colors. Haha. Check out his jacket in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist to see what I mean.
