Just when I thought I would settle for Poladroid to get that Polaroid effect on my photos, then comes Fujifilm's Instax Mini cameras.
Poladroids!
Two years after Lomography hit our shores around 2008 (I think? At least that was the time I first knew about it) and awakened the analog lovers in most of us, came our what would be great fascination and infatuation with Instax.

I acquired my Fujifilm Instax Mini 20 Cheki from an online store around December of that year. I thought getting a supply of fresh films for my new toy would be a problem until I knew about the online store, PolaroidPH. They offer the widest variety of Instax cameras, films and other accessories! I remember purchasing a twin pack film from them last year, just in time for New Year.

Last Sunday, I made a purchase order again from them online for a single pack film, it's been too long since I last used my Instax. Then I received a call from Jhem of Li'l Whims/PolaroidPH last Wednesday to confirm my order. Apparently, they already have a physical store in The Collective in Malugay and he was asking if I still wanted it to be delivered (for a fee of PHP 50).

Okay. I've been living in Makati for half a year but I had no idea that The Collective was just right across our unit. I am very, very lulzy. I know, I know.

We made a quick trip to The Collective last Thursday to pick up the merchandise. I was really excited because I am finally (!!!) going to The Collective and I'm excited to visit their store.

When we got there, Kuya Jhem was with another client who just purchased an Instax and since my item was just for pick up, I roamed around, took photos of the place while they were finalizing their transaction.

Aside from Instax cameras, films and accessories, they also offer other analog cameras like those 35mm action cameras, Blackbird Fly TLRs, Holgas -- basically, everything that you can find on their website.

After the other customer left, I introduced myself to him and we had a little chitchat about the latest Instax films. He told me that their supplies just came in that day and he showed me this closet/compartment full of films! It was just lovely!

I am definitely getting the Pandora Instax films next time!

Oh, here's a photo of Kuya Jhem right before we left the store. Hehehe.

For all your Instax needs and more, I suggest you drop by Lil' Whims Store at The Collective. That way, you'll know what is on stock and what's not. Plus, you can roam around The Collective, there's just too much to see there!

How to get there?
Ride a bus with the LRT-Leveriza signage and ask them to drop you off at Mayapis. You'll see there the Cityland towers, and right across it, a tricycle terminal. Go to that corner street in front of the terminal and you'll see an Alphaland building under construction. Right next to it is The Collective.
