"You are the only one who has understood even a whisper of me, and I will tell you that I am the only person who has understood even a whisper of you."

— Jonathan Safran Foer, Everything Is Illuminated

Home is whoever, wherever, or whatever brings me a sigh of relief. I am an introvert and I always find something new to intimidate me, on a daily basis. I always test the waters before even dipping my foot in. I am always in a panicked state of mind and home is someone, something, a feeling that will drown the noise (of my head, of my heart) down.

Home is when I need not words to express how I feel. Just the shadow in my eyes, the twitch of my lips or the hoarseness of my voice are enough signs for them to know how I feel at that moment. Deer in headlights!

That reassuring feeling that nothing is going to go wrong, you can be at your worst and you will still be loved best.

A comforting memory of the past that seemed so distant, it's almost vague. But it's the only memory you cling on to in times you feel everything and nothing at the same time.

A plate of goodness that is prepared with utmost love and care. Every little bit, every little piece raises your spirits and warms you from the inside, driving you into an empowered state that everything is going to be just fine.

"Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable? That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence."

— Mia Wallace, Pulp Fiction

Home is the feeling of ease, no pretentiousness, and absolute acceptance. Home is the brutal truth, the whitest lie, and, again, absolute acceptance. Home is a familiar sanctuary, the end of a wandering road. Where roots are made unconsciously and removing yourself from it makes you useless pieces and useless chunks.

My home is whenever expression is never a struggle. Home is in the presence of people that I always wanted to see and people who notice when I'm not around. Home is realizations and finally getting things right.

"I am strangely glad to get back again to you: and wherever you are is my home—my only home."

— Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre
