I made it known here (read: my Places To Dine In List 2 post) that I will eat at Tokyo Cafe to celebrate my birthday.

Of course, I did.

We (boyfriend + I) went there (Robinsons Cybergate Plaza branch) after our shifts to finally satisfy our curiosity with this restaurant.

Bad news is, since we went there super early, they were only serving breakfast at that time. I love breakfast food, don't get me wrong, it's just that I had been really looking forward to eating this:

Heheh. A little bummed about it but I'm not gonna turn down this awesome opportunity for this dining experience!

The place looks very modern for a Japanese restaurant (I guess, that was what they're aiming for). Very laid back interiors with a pastel palette (I think) with accents here and there. I would've loved to sit on the couch but all seats were taken when we got there.

The food attendants were very friendly, offered us water after they handed the menu.

It took quite a while before the food we ordered were served but we really didn't mind.

His:

This maybe shot from an odd angle which made the serving look small but in actuality, it's not. Hehe. The boyfriend absolutely loved this and surely won his heart and his stomach.

Mine:

Here I go again with my safe choices, right? The boneless bangus was light and crisp, and those 2 small cups of rice were nice and hot with bits of garlic on top. I love the slice of tomato!

Shared:

Gooey cheesy goodness on top of a perfectly toasted bread! The ends were crispy but when we got a bite in the center, it was a party in our mouths! We both loved this one and this is enough reason to dine in here again for breakfast.

I absolutely recommend this place! Delicious food, great customer service, and above all, it's worth every penny! Tokyo Cafe is definitely not yet off my list as I was able to taste just the tip of the iceberg. There's still too much to feast on aside from the Chicken Cutlet! There's still the burgers, smogees, crepes, parfaits, pasta and cheesecakes! Maybe next time, we should try their branch in SM Mall of Asia.
